Chicken Bone Broth Drink

servingsA warming and comforting Bone broth drink to keep those winter cold and flu symptoms at bay, you can adjust the herbs and spices to your liking, personally I like it to have a warm kick from the harissa so I tend to be a bit heavy on the portion sizes, in fact you can’t go too wrong with the serving sizes, just play around until you get the right taste for you.
Ingredients
1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
2 cloves
2 tsp of harissa paste
2 tsp Turmeric powder
thumb size piece of ginger
2 Tbsp of Lemon juice
4 litres of chicken bone broth
1 Tbsp of ghee or olive oil
Directions
- In a large pot, one that would hold more than 4 litres, add a tbsp of ghee, and gently fry the spices for 2 min until fragrant.
- add the lemon juice, stir, then add the bone broth, simmer for 15min.
- after the 15min strain the stock, you can keep it in the fridge and just reheat when you want a cup of nutritious broth or freeze in batches for those winter days
