      Chicken Bone Broth Drink

      A warming and comforting Bone broth drink to keep those winter cold and flu symptoms at bay, you can adjust the herbs and spices to your liking, personally I like it to have a warm kick from the harissa so I tend to be a bit heavy on the portion sizes, in fact you can’t go too wrong with the serving sizes, just play around until you get the right taste for you.

      Ingredients

      • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds

      • 2 cloves

      • 2 tsp of harissa paste

      • 2 tsp Turmeric powder

      • thumb size piece of ginger

      • 2 Tbsp of Lemon juice

      • 4 litres of chicken bone broth

      • 1 Tbsp of ghee or olive oil

      Directions

      • In a large pot, one that would hold more than 4 litres, add a tbsp of ghee, and gently fry the spices for 2 min until fragrant.
      • add the lemon juice, stir, then add the bone broth, simmer for 15min.
      • after the 15min strain the stock, you can keep it in the fridge and just reheat when you want a cup of nutritious broth or freeze in batches for those winter days
